WorkNET Contents

 

To find out how to perform certain tasks, or how the features of the program work, single click on an item in the WorkNET list in the list column.  The LINK will take you to that portion of the manual which will answer your question.  If you are still uncertain, or something is unclear after reading the manual...email your question to support@sg1.us.

YOUR DESKTOP WORKSPACE section - this is the starting point that each user sees when they access the program.

People section -  in WorkNET, this section of the program contains the records for individuals using the WorkNET program.

Customers  section - this is a listing of Customers who will be using your, or with whom you are associating work processes.

Vendors  section - this is a listing of Vendors and Contractors who will be using your, or with whom you are associating work processes.

Inventory section - this section allows you to manage and control Inventory of all types.  Multiple Inventory locations allow for the tracking of product which is not in the main inventory, stored at secondary inventory locations, or on off-site locations.

Calendars section - this section allows calendars to be associated with Projects and Calendar blending.

Tasks section - this sections allows authorized users to assign tasks to from within a channel.  Nicknames make individual tasks easy to track.

Files and Documents -  this sections allows authorized users to attach files and documents to Projects and Requests (Channels).

Channel section - this section allows our customers to CUSTOMIZE the names and processes used to process any type of REQUEST.  This section contains the HEART of how you processes work.

eWorkRequest -a SPECIAL add-on module, used with CHANNELS, which allows Customers to create and order Work electronically. 

Work Control -  the first point of Human intervention is the work process.  Typical Work Control Centers are in charge of monitoring and performing the administrative functions associated with work processes.  Work Control insures that sufficient information is placed on the REQUEST to perform the work, and sends it on it's way through the process.

Work Centers - this is a list of individuals, or groups of individuals who perform work and who are accountable for the time and materials associated to a Work Requests. 

Cost Centers - this is a list of accounts to which time and material may be charged, or from which the accumulations of funds charged to a  project is managed.

System Manager - this section is for those individuals who are charged with the management and administration of those accessing your WorkNET database information.

Granting Privileges and Restrictions to USERS - this section explains how a Systems Manager grants privileges to users and then restricts those privileges to specific Facilities.

Zones and Subzones - for GREATER restrictions and convenience.  This section of the manual will discuses and explain the advantages and restrictions surrounding zoning.
